Highway 60 in Mulberry was closed down for more than an hour while Fire Rescue try to free a woman from her vehicle. The woman was trapped after her Jeep Wrangler hit a tree and rolled over on Friday. There was a passenger in the vehicle but they were not injured in the accident. The woman was air lifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old man was driving a 2009 Aprilia Scooter when he collided with Tasha Kelly of Clearwater in her 1990 Plymouth. The driver of the scooter was turning
south onto Stevenson Avenue from Sunset Point Road when it struck the Plymouth that was turning on Stevenson Avenue. The driver of the scooter was
transported to Bayfront Medical Center and is in critical condition. Officers say the scooter driver may have been over the legal alcohol limit and have not released
his name. Ms. Kelly and her passenger were not injured.

An auto accident happened in Tampa when a semi-tractor trailer crashed into a building. Three people were injured when the semi hit the building. The accident occurred near 40th Street and 19 Avenue. Official say another vehicle was involved. The injured were treated at local hospitals for minor injuries.

A deadly auto accident involving three vehicles on Interstate 75 near Manatee County line happened early Tuesday. The southbound lanes were closed until 5 p.m.
The crash was caused when Brittany G. Gonzalez, 18, dropped her phone and reached down to pick it up. She drove on to the shoulder and then over corrected to the right and then left. Her 2002 Ford Expedition overturned several times before it came to rest in the middle of the southbound lane. Troopers say, Ms. Gonzalez got out and went to the shoulder to call 911. A Chevy Suburban driven by James Sims, 66 years old, from Georgia did not see Gonzalez’s SUV and hit the right side of the SUV. Sims was killed in the crash.
Angel Pedraja, 37, of Miami was driving a semi-trailer traveling south in the right lane. Pedraja saw what he thought was a person waiving a flashlight and switched from the right lane to the middle lane. He saw debri from the previous crash and started to brake. He was unable to avoid the vehicle and his right front struck the left side of the suburban. The semi-trailer then rotated and turned over onto the side blocking the center and outside lanes. Fluids leaked from all three vehicles, damaging the middle and outside lanes. The southbound lanes were diverted into the left lane while crews cleaned up the roadway.

A woman and her baby were killed, and her toddler was critically injured in a car accident on U.S. 27 between Lake Caloosa and CR 630 in south Lake Wales/Frostproof area.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s office, the 2003 Toyota Corolla being driven by 27-year-old, Candy Greathouse was heading northbound on U.S. 27 and suddenly crossed through the median and struck a 2008 black Toyota Tundra pickup pulling a travel trailer. The driver of the Toyota Tundra, 71 year old, Robert Holbrook of North Carolina and wife, Pansi, 65, were taken to Lake Wales Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Ms. Greathouse was ejected from the Corolla and died at the scene. Her 3-month old, Laaina was airlifted to Florida Hospital in Sebring, where she died. The 2-year old toddler, Arriana was airlifted to Tampa General hospital where she remains in critical condition.
