BE CAREFUL ABOUT REQUESTS MADE BY EITHER INSURANCE COMPANY

Never give a recorded statement to the at fault party’s insurance company. If your own insurance company requests your recorded statement, you have to comply but should you do so in the presence of your lawyer in order to appropriately protect your interests.  Remember, the insurance company’s job is to defeat your claim.

What coverage do you need?

On your auto insurance policy, it is recommended:

* at least $100,000/$300,ooo bodily injury (BI) coverage;

*collision coverage, which includes a rental car;

*Medpay (as much as you can afford, but at least $2,000-$5,000), and most importantly

*UM (uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage) which matches the amount of BI coverage you have sure it is stacked

if you have more than one vehicle on your policy. Having complete coverage is important because a massive amount of drivers in Florida

are either completely uninsured or are effectively uninsured (minimal coverage).
